I would support Government spending of the tax $$ on infrastructure improvement, and/or repair of same, however, 0bama’s idea of ‘stimulus’ has produced primitively more apparatchiks and fed unions, that serve to stymie private economy and the creation of wealth producing jobs.
“You have to put the money in to get something out.”…Well Said!!! BO put just a few dollars of the $Trillion into ‘Shovel Ready’. Most went to the States to fund 99 weeks Unemployment & Unions and Auto Industry Bailout. Several $Billion in Loans were Forgiven by BO, which means they will Never Be Paid Back. And BO bought GM’s inventory of Volt cars for $1 Billion. No one seems to want to spend money on the business-hostile American Environment.
Eryx….dumbkoff! the Fed Gov does not pay local police and firefighters….the city, town or county pays for fire fighting and policing. Local Taxes cover their salaries and the expenses…
local Property Taxes pay for schools, etc.
the Fed Gov receives Trillions of $$$s each year and borrows even more….the Fed Gov on Congressional OKs used every dollar of FICA taxes paid….the Social Sec “fund” is merely federal IOUs……
and the Fed Gov cannot even produce one can of peas! the Energy Dept has never produced one erg of energy….etc….
but the Fed Gov does tie down like Gulliver’s Giant, the private business sector that can produce goods and provide jobs…bureaucrats in D.C. are the Lilliputians of today’s USA……Obama’s policies are preventing a normal recovery from recession……producing “tons” of new and very costly regulations on Biz…..
excellent viewpoint in the above url article written by a Pro in money/government issues I have respected highly for years!Larry Kudlow is also a TV commentator with a large following. In this article he notes the problems with the Obama policies and suggests the true path to correcting the bad economy…
Much of Government’s loans were converted into equity – US still owns 26% of GM. The administration handed 26% of the post-bankruptcy company to UAW – for beneficial interest that would have been extinguished in a normal bankruptcy court, while gave 10% in stock and 15% in warrants, for beneficial interest (bond holders and other lenders) that would have been given over 99% of the company in normal court. The secured lenders of Chrysler were even more but———d by 0bama, while UAW benefited handsomely. This is a clear case of a gift of public funds to the UAW, in payment for their destruction of the US auto industry.
Gore, I watched the “rant”…. she seems to think that a business CEO has the same problems as the President. I guess her employees were hired with the sole purpose to make her fail. Like some in the Republican party have said is their purpose. I don’t doubt she helped vote some of them into office and now she’s all surprised that when your purpose is to make your leader look bad, there is colateral damage. She needs to look in the mirror.
