Now we see why. No wonder Cory said that the reality didn’t match up to the dream last week. We as readers have always known that Robin was desperate and insecure; now Cory is seeing that for the first time as well.
He’s disenchanted by her. She’s off her pedestal. He sees her. I predict that he’ll try to let her down gently, and that’s what shakes her up. She’s taken him as a “given”, and he’s not.
