He spent most of his “Hope” on getting healthcare passed, that cost him the midterm. But the lack of leadership and compromise in the House is not happening in a vacuum. The voters can see the effect the last batch of congressmen has had on the country. “Hope” may be back in 2012.
Too f-ing bad we’re still in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the economy is in the toilet— Bush and his Republican “leadership” materialized THAT! (And the 405 fiasco just proves how stupid the “media” is- even dumber than commuters or the contractor who finished AHEAD of schedule- Bush never managed THAT little “mission accomplished”!
^ p.s. Swirly- nobody in the computer field ever feared Y2K- sold by right-wing media, and H1N1 did kill some folks, even though Rumsfeld’s attempt to force everyone to take “Tamiflu” the product that profited him, was a farce as it was totally ineffective against flu, but DID make him a lot of money!
So you accept the premise that Carter was the worst president? In so far as I am concerned, it is difficult to beat FDR, and that is exactly what 0bama is attempting to accomplish.
Thank God for Ramirez. He restores HOPE for a CHANGE in 2012. Thank you Michael. You’re the greatest political cartoonist I’ve ever seen…and I’ve seen Herblock and everyone since.
PUleez… Obamadinajad is not going to survive the election, everyone’s life will get better, and The Left will have nothing left but to bark like the dogs they are or hit up their Koolaid and Arsenic cocktails next year. Here’s to hoping they go for the latter.
Right! What happened to the Re-Pub promise last November of “Jobs, jobs, jobs”? How’s that working for ya? Can anyone point to even one bill brought to the House floor, other than the usual “tax breaks for the wealthy”, that had the words “job creation” in it? I can’t! All the Re-Pubs in the house, and senate, are doing is bashing Obama and stone-walling any job creating initiative Obama might make, every chance they get.
“So you agree with the loss of hope.”I do. Listening to “conservative” media personalities say on air they hope Obama fails and seeing members of the Republican leadership publicly state they would do what ever they have to to prevent Obama from succeeding really killed the hope for me.

It is hard to do any hope and change with 400 Republican fillibusters.

“Hope” belongs in the church; “Action” belongs in politics.

Although to be fair, Y2K didn’t happen because we took steps to avoid it. If we had done nothing, it would have been much MUCH worse…

Though I cringed every time he (GWB) spoke, I’ll take him over any uberintellectual, the likes of 0bama, in a heartbeat.
