I like the reworked scene in the first two panels .

Another idea for Dewey’s last line was “Atomic or Melvin?” Probably, the less said about the dreaded Melvin wedgie, the better.

I gotta say - great strip, but Dewey’s design is frustrating - hard to see the nose, the vest is distracting - like you said, this chubby version is best. It’s one of the only times he really looks like a bear.
