If only it were that easy. Clean water is going to be a very big deal in the future. Its a big deal now but it’ll grow to terrifying proportions over time.

Careful what you wish for. Recall the High Desert (Mojave, 29Palms) with seashells (!) - now how’d that happen?

Moon water means we might have a chance of using it (not that there’s lots, just some). Likewise Mars.

Clean water here, for the rest of us stuck on Earth, still happens the old-fashioned way; evaporation, rain, filtering through pine needles and duff, so every part of that ecosystem eats and is eaten until we can catch a fish.

But our industrial ways, of slicing off mountaintops for coal, dumping the rest in the valleys, concentrating Uranium, dumping the rest and selling the Flourides as a water additive, some of that is going to make our water really hard to use healthily. Solar stills are one growth industry. Skoal!

I think this was just a goof. And I thought it was pretty funny. Don’t have to be grim all the time!
