Goober in the last panel was a nice touch.

I wish they’d get a move on there. I liked one of the first candidates for the new WTC: five buildings, the one in the middle the tallest. Figure it out…

War is a great bitnez Mr.Rall! It doesn’t matter the reason, where they are, and who is killed as long as money comes out of those blood pools created by the Military Industrial Complex we will continue to be at war for many decades to come.

I personally find it immature to want to build a super fortress or a Shanghai like superstructure at ground zero. A well inspired, plain memorial will suffice, otherwise is like a childish taunt saying, “hey my dad* is better than yours!”

A new approach at foreign policy is what would work out better. I think Ron Paul’s advice in this regard is paramount here.

A classic one, Ted – your trademarked absurdism, with a point. The second panel was a real coffee-snarfer (that is a good thing; it means really funny).

Ron Paul’s advice? Legailze Pot? How does that help? :-)

rikoshayRabbit. when Bush equated the afhanistan war with the War on Drugs or johnson’s War on Poverty, he lost me. All are amorphous and unwinnable.

    WHAT?

8 years have gone by and NOTHING has been built on Ground Zero? An outrage. Why, one would think over 3,000 heroes lost their lives for nothing if there is no FREEDOMTOWER constructed on that spot.

I mean, you could still have the memorial conveniently tucked away in the basement. Who says you can’t have your cake and eat it too?

OSAMA BIN LADEN is real. Look him up on the FBI website, under Most Wanted Terrorists. He is still wanted for killing over 200 people when the US embassies were blown up in Africa. Also, how would the Bin Laden Deconstruction corp ever keep going if not for the preparing work by beloved son Osama?

The FBI is not looking for him in connection with 9/11 though…

The biggest, wildest, most outrageous CONSPIRACY THEORY goes something like this:

A bunch of crazy suicidal terrorists hijack four airliners and fly them into 3 out of 4 targets without any assistance from ground control/radar for navigation.

Meaning they would have to look outside of their 767s trying to follow roads and powerlines to guide them to their targets.

The US Air Defenses react by sending most of its FOURTEEN (14) scramble-ready airplanes into exactly the wrong direction. Some of these misguided interceptors take off without any missiles, with orders to RAM their targets in the mid-air.

The most heavily guarded military object in the US of A, the PENTAGON, is attacked by an unidentified plane or missile that executes a perfect 210 degree turn while making a military-style spiral, descending rapidly to almost ground level. Air controllers tracking this plane are convinced it is a military plane because of the way it maneuvers.

But of course, later we learn that it was simply a genius Arab TOP GUN who controlled this plane, having learned to fly in small Cessna prop craft. Even though the plane enters Washington D.C. airspace coming from the north-west, it does not target the offices on the east side of the Pentagon. These offices belong to Donald Rumsfeld and other top brass and would have made excellent targets for any enemy.

Instead, it makes a 210 degree turn and hits the structure in the newly renovated section. This section had just been strengthened to withstand just such an attack.

And they all lived happily ever after untill the end of their days.

FACT: the Pentagon’s first stone was laid on 9/11, 1941.

Well I’m very skeptical of any conspiracy theory…although I do remember President Clinton wanting to decrease the Pentagon’s budget, very much to their chagrin, several months before 9/11 occurred.

If people truly believe that ‘well-intended foreign amateurs’ can carry out something like 9/11, why couldn’t well-trained professionals do the same even though they call themselves American?

    Attaboy, Fennec!

Keep defending your elitist overlords by resorting to the same kind of logic like “too big to fail!” The US military industrial complex too stupid to cook up the wildest, unheard-of plans?

JFK assassination (LONE NUT), Vietnam War (DOMINO THEORY), Afghanistan War (PAYBACK for 911) Iraq War (WEAPS MASS DESTRUCTS), Plus the dozens and dozens of little proxy wars waged by and for the military industrial complex…

My main objection to spineless collaborators like Fennec is that they are still breathing oxygen.

There are a lot of very suspicious aspects to the events of 11 September 2001 in the United States, and it is extremely unlikely that anyone posting to this site can unravel them all. But one thing seems to be certain - none of thehijackers were Afghanis or, for that matter, Iraqis. It might therefore be questioned whether bombing Afghanistan and starting a war of aggression against that country and, two years later, Iraq was a rational response on the part of the US government, but if one considers that its leaders had an agenda (PNAC) which long predated and had nothing to do with these events, that particular little mystery is speedily resolved….
