Transcript:
First Job: (Woman: What's with the taxes?) (Man: Mostly they pay for wars. 54% of discretionary spending goes to the invasions, bombings, tortures, and assassinations. 19% of that is debt service on old wars.) One is Constitutional and the other isn’t. See the difference?

SO how come the liberal moron in the comic only talks about discretionary spending? What, because it’s already bookmarked it doesn’t count as spending?.Here’s a quick quiz. Name the biggest line item in the US budget. (Hint: it’s not the US military)

Methinks that, noting the frustrated worker’s specific call to action, Ted Rall is, unlike most Americans, aware of the date, tomorrow, July 14, being Bastille Day. Liberté, égalité, fraternité!

The “Constitutional” arguments against the government “forcing” people to buy healthcare insurance is nonsense for two reasons: (1) You don’t have to if you already have insurance; and (2) the precedent was set by George Washington when he required people to buy — wait for it — guns.

This subject isn’t funny. I have lukemia. Over $12,000 every month for less than two hour treatment for two or three days.I could never afford it if it wasn’t for Medicare and my suppliment. I worked all my life, paid my dues, and now I feel I’m deserving of some help and respect in my last few years! And, I am sure that there are many others that are in the same boat!

keechum yes there are many with expensive problems and the uncaring/unaware make the caviler statement “keep your hand out of my pocket.” One day they may have first hand knowledge of the reality of our current system and rethink their words. “We the people” need to be in this together.

My real concern is the FACT that 54% of the “discretionary” spending is indeed spent to BLOW PEOPLE UP! Maybe if it was to actually keep people alive, we’d be better off??
