Just as possession and use of a rifle was virtually the birthright of every non-urban American boy over the age of ten in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, which made them formidable marksmen in their adulthood, the widespread familiarity and practice of military video games make for formidable warriors in our present century.

When real death is nothing but a video game, where is the morality? Even in the days of “Mad”- there was the threat that those in the bunker would be underneath casualties on our side. Replacing boots on the ground with robots controlled from half-way around the world IS a greater “ethical” danger.

Mr Rall, it desensitizes them to the very things your panels depict. It’s not the other way around, as it would seem you are implying.
