I’ll give a longer response later. I need to get some sleep right now. I have to be at work in seven hours.

I come to gocomics, and the gentle humor of Gasoline Alley in particular, to AVOID politics. Does the community agree with me – that any political comments, be they pro-conservative, or pro-liberal, be left for other venues?

While that would be nice, it’s not all that likely, jpb_ca.Shrug it off if you can: “Consider the source”.

Great idea, lets keep political comments, even gentle ones, out of Gasoline Alley. There’s plenty of places around for that. This is just a nice story about an old man and his wife buying a washer and dryer and meeting a sassy salesman. Lets enjoy the art, the story and each others company without any political jabs.

People on both poles of the USA could treat each other better, and speak of the other more respectfully. If we don’t agree with the views, customs or lifestyles of someone from another part of the world, we all might say, well, that’s the way they were brought up, they have different values and viewpoints than we do; we just need to understand them better. Well, the USA is a BIG country, and people within it can still be living in another part of the world. The name-calling is getting too easy, and advances nothing.
