    I don’t know, a LOT of elderly people I know vote Republican because they are paralyzingly terrified of anything changing. Reps offer a nice throw back to simpler times. You know- when poor people’s kids just died of starvation and our water was full of toxic chemicals from the rich guy’s factory up stream. When religion was still the only game in town and science hadn’t shown all their silly rituals to be false and pointless. That kind of thing.

    The Republican party or as they are known now: George Who? And thanks to the short memory of the American voters than can get away with opposing everything they supported under Bush. (Apart from tax cuts of course.)
