    Wow! I thought the conservatives were the paranoids in the comics. I suppose the socialistic method of having government in control of production, inspection, and distribution we would be far safer. Then we could forbid sale of unwashed potatoes and meat not precooked to government standards. Backyard gardens will be outlawed as hunting obviously will. The new feeding sites will be called McGovern’s

    Typical liberal self-contradiction. The “inspectors” who were bought off WERE the representatives of government – they very folk you suggest we should turn to for more “food safety”!

    Yes, Mr Pratt, but it’s only the evil greedy corporations who paid the inspectors off who are the bad folks in this and every situation. Well, at least according to one hard -core fringe group…

    And re: the cartoon itself, the frame with the pigsnouts and astroglide is almost as likely to have been a creation of the “investigative” reporter as it is of the situation he/she is investigating. It’s all about the scoop, because that brings ratings which brings ads which brings $$$, the love of which has been said to be the root of all evil.
