Baldo was scared because he heard a noise outside… he grabbed a bat (out of fear) and went to sleep in Papi’s bed (yes, like a little kid… that’s half the joke). Gracie heard a noise seemingly later (after Papi fell back to sleep and Baldo stayed up and paranoid) and was scared so she ran to Papi’s room. This is where the last frame comes in.The joke is that Baldo is a big, scared baby! :-p ;-)
