My wife and I now use a ceramic tree that comes in three sections prelit from inside. We put a plastic bag over the parts and store in in the basement. The kids are married and gone and if they come home for Christmas it is only for a couple of hours on Christmas day.

problem solved..ur lucky hilda it took me forevery to take down all teh stuff off teh tree n put em away..
