That strip of Fred Bassett reminds me of something that I hate the most. When I watched the TV, somehow the door knocked, I got up and opened the door but there was nothing out there. And the phone rang, I got up and checked the phone if it actually rang or not. GRRRR! I put the special device with flashing light and louder chime for the doorbell so I can identify where the door knocks or chimes that comes from, not from TV. And I have another special device with the flashing light and louder sound for the phone so I can identify where the ringing phone comes from, not from the TV! Those devices are very helpful for me and other deaf people who cannot hear the sounds. Actually, I can hear the sounds but I have to know where the sounds come from. :-]
