For those who were wondering how to comment on a strip without being sent back to the beginning of their list of “My comics” - this is the solution I have used.
When I come to a strip which I want to make a comment about - I go to the Icons at the top of my computer page. Under FILE, I choose NEW WINDOW. When I have a new window opened up, I go to my BOOKMARKS and choose SHOW ALL BOOKMARKS for the New page. I have the original page of GO COMICS bookmarked - I I hit the GO COMICS bookmark. This brings up the first page. I go to the upper right hand corner of the GO COMICS page and type in the name of the strip that I want to comment about in the little space that says FIND A COMIC. Then I hit GO and this brings up the one page of the one comic which I want to comment about. Then I make the comment and post the comment. After the comment has posted - I go back to FILE and choose CLOSE WINDOW and close the extra window. Then I return to my page which has GASOLINE ALLEY (or whatever) still showing. Then I go up to the ADDRESS LINE in the browser. You will notice that there is a number at the end of the web address in the browser search window. In my case, the number for Gasoline Alley says =9. I carefully change the LAST NUMBER - In the case of Gasoline Alley, I would change the number to 8. Then I hit Enter and this takes my main window BACK to the strip which I viewed BEFORE Gasoline Alley. Then I just hit the GASOLINE ALLEY identification under the NEXT button - and this brings me back to Gasoline Alley WITH the comment now appearing.
Another tactic which works is to use your HISTORY. After you make a comment about a strip - and the GO COMICS system returns you to your Number One Comic - You can go to the HISTORY icon at the top of your computer window - and choose the GO COMICS identification in the HISTORY which is a couple of clicks BEFORE you made your comment. This returns your computer window to the same strip you viewed BEFORE you moved into the Gasoline Alley strip. Then continue with your NEXT boxes until you return to Gasoline Alley. Usually - it will only mean viewing one or two strips a second time before you get back to Gasoline Alley and continue from there.

Hope this helps. If I want to SAVE a particular strip as well as comment about it - I usually go through the steps necessary to save a strip BEFORE I close the extra window which has ONLY the strip which I wanted to comment about.

REAL bummer to have to go back to the beginning and start all over again. However, I have TWO lists in the MY COMICS section. There are SOME strips which I just MUST see before I go to bed - so I have a short list of comics which I call MUST SEE. Naturally, Gasoline Alley is on the MUST SEE list. Then I have a longer list with ALL of my favorite comics. I can usually wait until morning to go through THAT list. Then, throughout the day, as I work, when I have a couple of seconds - I go through my LONG list of comics.
I didn’t see it coming just then! But it is a romantic series, a “chick flick” comeone called it, so a marriage proposal was bound to play a part– whether a wedding happens or not.
Okaaaaaaay….that has to rank right down there in the 10 most unromantic proposals list. I suppose tomorrow (or by the end of the week) Gertie will be Mrs. Bird…or it’ll all be a dream.;)
Ok, Bird is either an illegal alien trying to stay in the states or he knows Gertie just inherited a fortune from a previously unknown long lost uncle. Or he has to be married by midnight in order to win a bet.

Maybe that’s why he wants to get married, Gertie, he’s low on funds and since you have a job he wants you to support him.
I do the same as Newenglandah, just post and hit back which takes me back to my own queue.

Isn’t it a sure sign a TV show has “Jumped The Shark” when some character is introduced out of no where? This strip has now jumped the shark.
