The weird thing is, this is perfectly OK with republicans.

If Senator Grassley lost his healthcare for himself and his extended family for just one year, he would still be rich enough to afford any healthcare options he wants. You righties are willing to be taxed for his benefit.

Why would republicans be in favor of such an aristocratic system that we as citizens pay for the crazy-good healthcare insurance for our elected representatives who spend week after week after week telling how we don’t deserve the same coverage they get on our dime!!??

Why, righties? Why do you allow it? Are breadlines and long lines for simple medical services OK with you? Is this Haiti? Go ahead and pay pay pay for those who claim to care about Americans.

I don’t want my fellow citizens to suffer. I absolutely know that the cartoon is not exaggerated. Right now, my husband is stuck in another city after undergoing 2 MRI tests for a tumor on his liver. All our money, our parents’ money, and loans from our kids (the shame!) have paid for these critical scans, but he now doesn’t have gas $ to get home, a 7 hour drive. I’m serious.

Why are you righties OK with this type of system? Hubby’s unable to work because he’s really sick, I’ve been laid off from a job that had only modest ($150/month) prescription help, and we are drowning even tho we’ve been smart, have no credit card debt and very modest expenses.

I don’t expect sympathy, truly. I expect an explanation for the unpatriotic attitude of repubs who only care that a very very small percentage of Americans don’t worry about their health.

You would have screamed in the 30’s that FDR was a socialist for Social Security. It wouldn’t matter to you that now millions of poor and aged Americans would not die cold and in pain. Security is OK for you, not for others.

    Selfish basterds.

People throwing fund-raisers to pay for medical treatment is truly the saddest indictment of this wealthiest nation on earth that could exist.
