Oh they had problems but they were nothing serious and were resolved in a half hour plus commercials. Not very realistic.

Maybe Davey Jones can stop by and take Holly and the kids to the dance.

There are two kinds of families, chaotic and rational. I grew up in a rational family and we have one now. My wife’s friend across the street is a chaotic family and I can only stand 15 minutes there until I have to swill down 6 or 8 beers.
I read this strip and 9 times out of 10 think “at least one of them needs a good smack in the gobber… “And I include the mothers in that thought.

I never watched the “Brady Bunch”, but I know that Mike Lookinland –who played Bobby– wouldn’t get invovlved in illegal drugs. Like myself, Lookinland is of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly known as Mormonism) which has a disbelief in taking illegal drugs.
And FYI, “Pickles” creator Brian Crane is also Mormon.

comixavier, you say that as though it’s unusual. I’m a Southern Baptist, and we’re not sitting in our pews taking hits. As far as I know, none of the Christian sects, Muslim sects, or Jewish sects, have a “belief” in that. I have to admit that I don’t know about far Eastern faiths, though. I’m not saying they do, not saying they don’t. Just don’t know.

Yes, it was a bit unrealistic for EVERY problem to be resolved in the course of a half hour show, but they DID have conflicts or there would have been nothing to resolve. Although some issues drag on longer than others in real life, my personal family experience was a lot closer to the Brady Bunch family than Roseanne’s.

Uh, yeah. most religions have a disbelief in taking illegal drugs. Nothing special about mormons there. And just beacuse someone is Mormon doesn’t mean they don’t slip. They are still human and prone to the same mistakes and addictions. You can’t speak for some one you don’t know just because they are the same religion as you. I’m Southern Baptist too, but I don’t know what SaraCVT does in her free time! [nothing bad though I’m sure. =) ]

I believe no one in the Brady Bunch was younger than 8. My mother survived, my first sister is 14 months younger than me, my brother was 4 years younger, and my father was in the Navy. The other sister is 12 and half years younger.
