Maybe many of you are seeing Alix turn blue, but for reason I’m seeing her (and Holly) in black and white!

    Quick! Google “Heimlich: how to”!

(Wasn’t she on the other side of the chair yesterday?)

Plus, if she was actually choking, she wouldn’t be making any noises at all…no air would be getting through, so she wouldn’t be able to.

I recently went through something very much like this in Egypt. With a muffin.

A dim bulb brightens! Now save your sister! (By the way is it Alex or Alix, as spelled in the first panel?)

One of my students said, “Use the Heimlich Remover!”

And there’s the redneck “Hiney-lick Maneuver.”

I was watching a tent of younger kids at camp. Hard candies are dangerous, and I reacted on instinct. Worked REALLY well :-)

Just to get this out there – IT IS POSSIBLE TO DEADLY CHOKE WHILE MAKING NOISES!! Having choked on food myself, I KNOW it is VERY possible to get just enough air OUT to “make gross noises” while able to get NO AIR IN. I was passing out by the time I was helped. I’ve since learned to do the maneuver on myself with a counter or back if chair etc. Not AS effective, but if no one else is helping or around….. it HAS helped!
