Wow. I like how Val apologized to her mother Evie for the things that she and Joan did as kids that drove Evie crazy, and remarked that Evie must’ve had the patience of a saint to put up with Joan and Val the way she did. Plus, Evie’s mental remark about living for “moments like this” really does ring true here, too. :)
