Val: Did you see the article that contradics the food pyramid theory we grew up with? Val: First it's MORE carbs, less protein. Joan: Then it's less carbs, MORE protein. Val: They push non-fat, then discover we need fat, but NOT "Trans fat." Joan: Margarine BAD, butter GOOD. Val: And don't get me started on hormones. Joan: For decades they push HRT, then one day it's "Oops! Never mind!" Val: It's rather exhausting. Joan: It just means we should trust our instincts. Val: I'll have the chocolate shake. Joan: Me too.
