just gotta say this … did y’all hear about the Senator in Sen. Finance Committee who kept falling asleep during the meeting offering an amendment to delay taking up all the amendments offered in committee so “others” could read it? One of his GOP colleagues didn’t think the other senators were getting the message, so he spoke up to support delay saying they needed to give the people the provider’s pay (insurance lobbyists) more time to figure out what to tell them.
Republicans in congress do not want healthcare reform.
They do not want to exactly tell the American public this, because healthcare reform is popular with the public.
Republicans claim to have a better plan than the socialist/ACORN subsidized democrats, but no one has seen any details of it other than, in early spring, some talk about tax cuts.
Because the status quo is extremely lucrative for congresspeople, R or D, it’s easy for them to try to lie and frighten the public with innuendo, questioning, raising worries and manipulating vulnerable groups like seniors and those who use religion as the basis for all their decisions.
The groups that want healthcare reform are planning to implement it. The groups that don’t want it are taking a dump on the process. If they insist on simply mucking things up instead of helping, they shouldn’t be consulted in the process.
We can get it done with just the one paddle. It would be nice if there were two, but there aren’t. The republican paddle is intentionally wired to ONLY shock the heck out of the donkey. It’s the only thing that matters to them; not the patient on the table.
The point is a defibrilator only works if the circuit is complete. The only Republican plan is a tax rebate that won’t begin to cover the cost of private insurance for 99% who need it. Those who today HAVE insurance will be WORSE OFF under the Republican plan. It is called the Kevorkian solution.
DR CANUCK….I’M FROM CANADA AND HAD A BROTHER DIE FOR LACK OF AN ANGIOPLASTY…..NOBODY ASKED THE DOCTORS AND THAT INCLUDES THE AMA…..THE ONLY PEOPLE QUALIFIED TO FIX THIS ARE HEALTHCARE PROIVIDERS..1) PUT CONGRESS ON MEDICARE AND WATCH THE IMPROVEMENTS. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEMSELVES. 2) GET TORT REFORM 3) MAKE INSURANCE PORTABLE. …..THERE ARE SOME REAL FIXES POSSIBLE BUT THEY WON’T COME FROM THIS GOVERNMENT… “HOPE & CHANGE” BEGIN IN 2010
Let’s presume that people die under every health plan, shall we? But suppose we ask ourselves where do the most people get the most care for those normal health care issues? How do places deal with a broken wrist, let’s say. Or how about if I come down with swine flu? Or my kid gets streptococcus? Or how about a car wreck where you suffer multiple fractures?
I want to know how the different systems compare in those situations, because that’s 90% of what most of us deal with.

The GOP jumper has better solid-state behind it than the Donkey Paddle.

What you don’t see is that the Donkey Paddle is plugged into the Canadian power grid so someone else can foot the bill.

“people dying in UK for lack of service”
Possible, but then again, that also happens in the US system - which costs about thrice as much.

^ First he claimed he’s a doctor, now he claims to be a Canadian. All I know is that he shouts. A lot.

Canadians goint in the states to get care are exceptions. They are cured in the States BUT their provincial government pays the bill.
In other words, they have insurance. Government insurance.
