I learned to get off this merry-go-round years ago. Save up what you can during the year, grab deals during the year, and keep the CCs put away now. You will thank yourself in January.
You also nailed it on the hype. The real point of the celebration gas gotten lost beneath the commercialism burying it now.
My family started drawing names years ago with a $35 cap. I buy a gift for that person, my significant other and my kid nephews. I spend about $100-$150. I don’t get the $500 people, especially this year.
