Minecraft should add a mud pie as a sort of emergency food. The crafting recipe should be a water bucket on three dirt, and this will give you 6 mud pies and returns the empty bucket. Each mud pie gives you 10 seconds of hunger effect but heals 4 hunger points and 6.5 satuation points.
