Jon probably meant that he had not cleaned the dirty dishes in the sink. He had to use the hose to clear the dishes up in the sink quickly before Liz comes over to make the dinner. Welcome back, Lizzy!

They make these great steam hoses that state they can power clean anything. My son got one as a bachelor just before he married. He swears by it.
