I think Jon hasn’t fully thought out this ruse. At a restaurant this fancy, surely wearing a hat at the table will be seen as its own breach of etiquette. He might as well keep Garfield as Garfield and hope for the best, after all there are plenty of wealthy eccentrics out there who might pull a similar “pet at the restaurant” stunt, and they might be more willing to accept that. Just my two entire cents though.
