That background looks familiar - where have I seen it before? A painting, maybe?

There’s a Chas. Addams vibe to the background as well.

How can he pardon himself for something he has not been formally charged and found guilty of?

He’s “The Decider!” The Preemptive Pardon may come in just as handy as The Signing Statement.

If that’s the case then “Tricky Dickey”, should have or could have pardon himself as well as his Cabinet, and even the VEEP Spiro Agnew. Of course, as history goes, he didn’t, why?

According to Haldeman, Nixon actually seriously considered pardoning himself. Trouble is, while that would protect him from criminal and civil indictment, it would immediately make him vulnerable to impeachment, due to an obvious abuse of Presidential power. He was still protecting his place in history – with notable success, I’m afraid – and preferred to let Ford pardon him, as he knew he would.

Um, I guess Pat has forgotten BJ’s buddy Marc Rich, quite liberally convenient I’d say. I wonder what “W” has been charged with that he needs a pardon?

“W” is the scapegoat for the intellectual and ethical lapses of the Liberals world-view, even though they can or will level not one charge against him legally. We on the right are in danger of doing the same with Citizen Obama. Do not expect any of these libs to respond Larymac, for they specialize in the drive-by posting.
