In some religions it’s considered disrespectful to spell God’s name out, so they put a – in place of the “o”. Not sure which ones do that, but I believe it’s Jehovah’s Witness, Mormon or Jewish if not all 3.
Just took another look at yesterday’s strip. Seems to me that Jeri’s friends — not to mention Jeri herself, in today’s strip — are guilty of the very traits that (they’d like to believe) the new girl possesses. But Juliette does not seem “snotty” or “stuck up” at all. Nor a “jerk”, most likely. Project much, ladies?
