Robing 5% to buy votes from 95% may not work. He might have to steal from 30%, maybe 40% - but still a minority.

There is one slight problem however. You are going to get a lot less of that which is penalized (taxed).

I for one, am taking an extended vacation …

Why Obama desperately needs his teleprompter

““The [so-called stimulus] plan was divided into three parts. One-third of the money has gone to tax relief for families and small businesses. One-third of the money is cutting people’s taxes… . Another third of the money in the Recovery Act has been for emergency relief that is helping folks who’ve borne the brunt of this recession… . So that’s the second half. First half, tax relief. Second half, support for individuals, small businesses, and states that had fallen on hard times. The last third of the Recovery Act–and that’s what we’re going to talk about here today–is for investments …”–Barack Obama, Aug. 5

    @ fennec

You are missing the point of the teasing. The BDS gang said Bush was so stupid he couldn’t speak in exactly the same circumstances you wrote about above. Of course it is difficult and of course Obama has a problem but they never allowed that excuse to Bush. There was a whole column of “Bushisms” which covered those speaking errors. Slate of course dropped the entire concept when Obama was elected. (No MSM bias:>) But some of the conservative press picked it up and now we get Obamaisms. I would bet that the deniers of MSM have never seen one of the Obamaisms in print.
