    I think I see what redhead is implying and he’s got a point. Guess it would be view point as to weather a census count is for correction of an inbalance or for gain of a political advantage. Perhaps too many ghosts remaining of graveyard voters.

    Reps are afraid of Dems gerrymandering districts instead of being able to do it themselves. Stupid political games distracting everyone from actual problems that need to be solved. This is an example of why I’ve always been so cynical about politics.

    claude, i agree with your cynicism on this point, reapportionment and drawing district … the census though, means more than that … there is a category of people, and not just the homeless, those who move often, those who don’t read and write so well, those who are temporarily living with family or friends, who are hard to include in census counts … with our economy in such dire straits, i imagine that category of people is larger than ever about now … that category of people is what is at stake depending upon who’s in charge of the census
