Ohhhh….Fergus looks just like Max did when I was leaving yesterday….this is sooo sad.
On a brighter note, having a great time with Bev! When I finally got here (after 5 hours of driving straight through), we just relaxed and chatted and…had a class on how to do pictures in Windows Paint. The sunset over the lake was spectacular last evening. It’s very peaceful and quiet here.
Even though this was the first time Bev and I met in person, we’ve been in touch for quite a while, so it felt like we’ve known each other for years. Today, we’ll see the “sights” which will include a tour of the Mackenzie-Childs mansion.(Possible pictures later.)
…and (from last night’s comments): Bev and her husband drove over 1000 miles from Missouri AND I retired when I was 33!! We don’t live anywhere near each other and we’re not anywhere near ready for the old age home. LOL LOL (but, thanks for giggle)
Today was supposed to be my day off. My boss slipped in a client in on me at the end of the day. A couple of hours only, but still, its not a day off. It’s mostley a day off.I have bin taking to many naps lately. It has my counselor worried. It has my brother worried. I am beginning to worry.I’m going to gas up the car and take a drive. South. No destination. Just go find things to look at.I’m going to play tourist. See you this afternoon/evening.
Aww poor Fergus. Don’t worry dear one for you are the dog not a third wheel. They will be back soon to lavish you with love. And I bet Maggie knows your special scratch spot..Hello to all the kids in CD land. So Stel & Bev are playing it up in the city that never sleeps? Look out New York! :-DHave fun and stay safe you lucky gals.
They look like treasures to me happy! Are they Corningware? Anyway, they are lovely.Getting out like that is good for you. Sleeping a lot is to be expected, given all you have been through. It is the only time you don’t have to think of your losses. The pain does lessen with time. Be gentle with yourself.
Shika, I’m getting getting ready to watch some movies in my room. There’s a couple good ones on TCM tonight. Casablanca’s coming on at 9 my time. I want to get comfy for it. Of course, I may fall asleep at some point, but while I’m awake, I’ll have something good to watch.
Happy I have the bowls! Bought at a yard sale, many years ago! Love them! Wish I had the rest of the set, but those bowls have lasted a LONG TIME! You DID INDEED FIND SOME TREASURES!
x_Tech said, 3 minutes ago@Happy, happy, happy!!!A minor correction Happy3, it not Corningware but Corelle Living Ware made by Corning starting back in 1970. I still have several pieces of the set my mother gave me in 73. They are rugged but they do brake.++++++++++++++++Yes, but do they brake for squirrelsÉ
The birds on my patio got only crumbs from dry bread that I normally have with my meals (crumbles as I slice in quarters), but I gave them those (from a few days AND some green grapes).
And X, I would never use china of any kind to pick up dead birds (a double plastic grocery bag is good for that) although I’m hearing that plastic bags are illegal in some places (that made for some good jokes on TMZ – or wherever I heard it).
I looked at the vintage (Target has more of the new than Corelle’s own site) and Spring Blossom is what I most often see in folks homes when visiting friends. I only use those and other plain white bowls for food prep.
The pieces that I have are mostly what I inherited from my parents. I always liked it, so I have decided to replace as many missing pieces as possible. I am also finding pieces I had no idea existed. I’m buying it, if I can use it.The butter dish is a big score for me.

My dog looks at me all the time, just like panel two, makes we want to either cry or laugh. He’s such a drama queen, I usually laugh.
@Stel, did you girls have a good day out? We want details.

You should have known that would happen eventually, Fergus.
