I woke up around 4:15 this morning and I thought: I better get up and start my toon tour before it’s time to get ready for work. Then it dawned on me that I am now on vacation. Then I thought I’ll get up anyway. I can always go back to bed if I want to. And so I did. I went back to bed a couple of hours ago and just got up again.

I’m hungry! I think I’ll have the sausage, biscuits & gravy please, ♥Little Sister♥. Thanks!

For schools in this area spring break starts next week. I asked instructor if Jr. college I take classes on-line will also be on spring break. I am getting a break I think there are other students behind on their paragraphs mine are turned in. I don’t like formal writing and I don’t hear people speaking formaly.

Not always. Some days are more so than others. And if there’s a front out of the north, it tends to dry things out quite a bit.

Hey people I won’t be on for a few days because the doctor is putting me in the hospital to run tests and find out what is going on. I am happy and cheerful and DON’T WANT TO GO but it will be quicker if I do to get better. It may just be asthma….The C word isn’t in the picture.

pseudo, it’s been happening a lot lately.

pseudo - bmonk can explain it better than me. The time is off different servers that comments go through. It’s gotten better recently since it started again. This happened before a few years ago.

@pseudo, a few years back, there was a similar problem, with posts being up to 5-10 minutes off.

It turned out that the problem was unsynchronized servers–each comment when posted gets a time attached by the server and then a later post that hits another server gets an earlier time–so it gets put up before the other one.

Aparently, gocomics needs to synchronize their servers again.

Hi, friends! pseudo - When I first heard the explanation, I thought like you - that each poster’s posts would go through the same server each time. But that doesn’t explain when their own posts aren’t in sequence with each other (like Hope&Joy’s & Ooooops! are today.) I think it could be compared to multiple tellers at the bank, and each teller has their own clock which isn’t synchronized to the other tellers. Each post requires the poster to get back in the one line that serves all the teller windows (servers). If the next post goes to a different teller/server whose clock is ahead, then it can leapfrog over the previous post made at a different teller/server. Of course, I could be totally off-base, but that’s my story until I hear a better one…

Pseudo - At least this “game” of leapfrog doesn’t hurt my knees or back!

Hi, Sojo & bmonk!

It is really nice & warm outside today! (Mid 70’s). A little too windy for my liking, but as long as a semi didn’t blow on top of me, not a problem. I had a few errands to do today - a prep session for a job fair at the college in a couple of weeks, Wal-Mart, and dropping my tax info off at my CPA’s. Only downside is that a pebble hit my windshield when I was passing one of those semis on Hwy 77, and it cracked it. Drat! That windshield isn’t even a year old! At least the crack is up towards the top, and on the passenger side. I hope it stays where it won’t bother me so much.

Rmom - I also ran some errands this afternoon. It sure is nice right now.

Sojo - I opened the sunroof & windows a bit to let the hot air out when I was going fairly slow. I finally had to switch it over to a/c when I got where I could go 60 mph, as the roar was just too much.

Sojo - I think I heard we might get some severe weather on Sunday. What have you heard?

Rmom - Sunday and Tuesday perhaps. Just have to see what developes.

Sojo - I hadn’t heard about Tuesday. But this is KS, so anything is possible. I’ve got to figure out where I put my portable weather radio. It sure comes in handy when I’m away from home. I’ve thought about getting a data plan so I can watch the radar during storms, if our internet is out or if I’m away from home. Unfortunately, at&t said my phone is too old, so I’d have to get a new one. We’re not sure we want to commit to 2 more years w/at&t, so I’m stuck with my old one for now.

Not worried, just interested. Like you said earlier sometimes it’s something to watch. Of course you need to be alert and prepared. Several times I’ve been within a block or two of a tornado or funnel.

I guess I’m one of the last ones here. Read all your comments. Greatings to all here. Soon be bed time almost 10pm KS time. pseudo here in KS for those sever thunderstorms just depends on the front and which direction a tornado comes. Sadly we live 20 minutes away HWY driving south of us a town outside of ICT will usually get a few hits. North of HWY 400 one will come. Town we lived in way west of ICT we would be sandwich. I have seen tornado’s. At my parent’s house two of them heading north and sirens didn’t go off until after. Worst part is damaging hail with those storms. I read about sweet ♪Hopeandjoy♫ and I’ll add my thoughts with her at her hospital stay. We all know hospital’s are no fun. Bless her. With this I will say good night all. Happy’ day early St. Patty’s day to all.

Hi, Wolfie, Pseudo & anyone else I missed. Just popping in here before I head to bed. A library book captured my attention and wouldn’t let me go until I finished it. Since I’m a reading addict, that happens frequently. Pseudo - All of us who live in tornado alley have lived here long enough to handle it okay. We know the damage tornadoes & hail storms can inflict, so we pay attention. However, we’re not under constant fear, since the meteorologists give us enough advance notice when we need to be on “high alert”.
