Shiver me timbers! The breakfast for today is… flour tortillas with egg and potatoes (cuz I like that) pancakes (shapped like walking planks) with your choice of syrup plenty of fresh fruit (to prevent scurvy) a never ending supply of nuclear coffee Is that enough for breakfast?

Arrrrrh! i’d have been happy to provide breakfast if the two lovely ladies hadn’t beat me to it. i will, however, make a contribution of mushroom and cheese omelettes and earl grey tea (to go along with the nuclear coffee). hope everyone’s doing well. i started playin catchup when there were 230 odd posts and by the time i caught up it was over 250 (and i read quick)! definitely a yappy night (and i don’t mean rad)

i did notice that every time i clicked on to one of the you tube links that dcguys provided, it was playing Styx’s “too much time on my hands” so i hope it was deliberate on his part. i’d hate to think that people would put tunes in here that i wouldn’t be able to hear. what kind of party would that be?

Carmy your link worked fine. i like Styx well enough, but prefer the Equinox album (the one with the flaming ice cube on the cover) to some of the later material they did with Tommy Shaw. Side two of the record was one of my all time favourite album sides (back when there was such a thing). I could bring along my home made shiv if it’s needed, Marg. YAARRRRH!

well, while i’m here i may as well start the toon tour. Saturday will be a bit busy for me. i’ll be in and out for a bit. don’t make me walk the plank!

Today will be rather busy….going to check on my stuff on consignment then off to the Dragon to make more snowflakes. Until then it’s into the galley to tidy up the two counters I did last week and begin decluttering/cleaning the third counter.

Good Afternoon, DawnA. I feel for you about the computer. Last week one evening I tried to get on. After half an hour wrestling with it–whatever could go wrong, did, from pages that refused to load, locking up other pages that (might have) loaded, splitting off tabs into separate windows, opening new windows (that did not load fully), windows that crashed, and that’s just what I recall–I had managed to read three (out of about 100) new posts. So I gave up.

Johnny–I was watching the Michigan game along with the Penn St game. Both were no contest!!

I am finished washing the truck and the car 3 hours later. lol

i washed dads truck to be a nice, good, kind, loving daughter… also bc it is a white truck and it had turned gray, had not been washed in 2 months….. and he gets picky about it. its bad enough i have to have a freaken lader to get the top and im scared of hights, and i still cant get all of the top good bc i can hardly see. and im 5’6 mind you. lol well he was upset bc i didnt use windex to wash is windows so i had to go back and wash them with windex. i was very very upset. sigh it took all of 15 maybe 30 mins to wash my car the rest washing his.

now i have to do some inside work then hopefuly spend the rest of the day with my friend tomorrow is her last day here. :0( (trying not to cry) so ill see you all when i see ya.

I hope all will go well for you all and your family! They thought I had MRSA once but it was a Strep A infection. My son took a double header over his bicycle and very BADLY tore up his back even with a shirt on, apparently it came from me changing his bandages, etc., though I was VERY CAREFUL! Of course he had it too.

Doc I have a cat who literally needs to be sedated to be groomed. She is sweet, a bit stand offish but always comes to the door when we get home, and greets us in the morning, but she is a psycho when it comes to doing anything to her! Our vet knows how to handle her for her shots, he just grabs her by the neck in a certain spot so she can’t do anything and gives her her shots! She was our Christmas Eve present, appeared at the door Christmas Eve, declawed and spayed. The kids convinced me since we couldn’t find the owners that we should keep her. Of course, they’re gone from here for the most part, I think I told you all this before, didn’t I? LOL!

Hi Terry! Sorry I didn’t reply earlier. It took me longer to get my gocomics lap done today than it does usually. Just more RL interruptions on the weekends. Ragweed allergy is really bad this year - the worse I have ever experienced. Spent most of yesterday outdoors at a bluegrass music festival, so that didn’t help either. I’m glad you’re able to go to your son’s games. Our kids won’t be at home forever. (Or at least that’s what I keep telling myself!)

I know the hospital checked me for MRSA when I was checked in…and I remember seeing a room with a big sign saying “MRSA”

Could be worse. Mom got that flesh eating bacteria and lost the skin on her right arm from wrist to elbow. She’s ok now but was in the hospital for 6 weeks.

Hope everying goes well with the surgery, etc. And a better job is on the horizon for her. My spouse has been unemployed almost a year, and my Son got laid off yesterday. Pres. Obama….when America voted for change, this WASN’T what we meant!!!!!

Ah well, time for bed. Ya’ll take care. I’ve hidden Krispy Kreams in the kitchen for the breakfast person to find. Enjoy!

Mopar - I’m glad your wife is on your insurance coverage. That makes it easier to get the back surgery done while she’s not working anyway. My brother had knee replacement done shortly after he got laid off, before his insurance ran out. My hubby had his neck surgery done while he was on a temporary layoff in March, which made it much easier for him to be working the 12-14 hour days he’s been putting in lately. Yep, I agree with the quote you had in your message. Can’t always tell it at the time, but looking back, you usually can.

I’ve been in and out RRAmom, trying to get some things done. I’ve got two customer cars to fix tomorrow and may not have time for these other issues!!

so guess what we found on our walk tonight, well its been there for a few weeks now. a black and white cat. he is so cute. we do 4 or 5 laps normaly and the last three nights on our 3rd lap he would come see us. so my friend called her husband and asked if we could bring it home. he said sure so we did. there are a few others but they wont come to us. in time we may resque them all. only time will tell. the two of us wanted to call him 3rd lap, but the kids and great grand arents didn’t like it so his name is…. drum roll…..BOOTS. lol
