Remarkable strip, really. Several unusually dynamic panels with a high use of perspective. Also, if I didn’t know that this was from the nineties (when, exactly?), I’d have assumed that this was a reference to Obamacare.
Whether its Calvin and Hobbes, Opus, or Churchy LaFemme and Owl, careening down a hill in a sled, wheelchair, or go cart is an old trope of comic strips that I for one never get tired of. I love the continuity between strips and generation but often wonder who first came up with this metaphor for living.
Even the leftists are beginning to figure out that “one size fits all” does not work in any part of political life. That will not stop them from trying to regiment us all, but they know the process is doomed.
