Personally, I can’t stand Mary Kay. I went to a Mary Kay party once, and my husband got me the whole kit’n’kaboodle. Just a day after using it, I developed a horrible rash all over my face. When I talked to a Mary Kay rep about it, she said, “If you cut out your dairy intake you can use our products.” Seriously? I’ll keep my milk, cheese & ice cream, and just buy a different brand of makeup, thank you very much. Yeah, I said that.
Sad that we have a society that demands that a woman wear makeup. My wife can’t stand the nasty stuff.Having been involved in “legitimate” theatre, I know more about makeup than most.
IIRC when this was first published Berkley drew the rabbit with pupil-less bloodshot eyes that was soo very disturbing that there was a lot of protests that kids were unnerved seeing that in their papers funny pages.

The rabbit in panel 2 looks like Thumper drawn by Bob Clampett.
