Poor Opus. Then again, there are worse hallucinations than thinking you are Dr. Marlin Perkins.

True. You could think you’re Jim. Poor guy always got the worst end of every encounter. “Just as the mother lion protects her cubs from JIm, Mutual of Omaha protects your family….blah blah.”

There was a scene with Jim being chased by a Moose, one of the best pieces of nature film ever.

I like Jim wrestling the giant anaconda – down for the third time – while Marlin Perkins waited in the Jeep up on the hill watching from a safe distance.

@ Thirdguy: You’re thinking of Schaeffer Beer. “The one beer to have when you’re having more than one.”

Jim’s best bit was on Carson.

Johnny (with tarantula on shoulder): Jim, does this spider bite?

    Jim: No chance, trust me.

(Jim brings out Goliath beetle, which takes flight across the studio)

Johnny: You didn’t say it could fly!!!

Jim: I didn’t KNOW it could fly!!!

(Johnny flicks spider off shoulder and glares at Jim)

I sometimes wonder if Jim wasn’t the inspiration for “Faithful Assistant Beaker”…
