But, on a happier note, Queen of America is contemplating some new "charges" in her home, in addition to the orange family from a couple of weeks ago.
From QoA:
“Last weekend, someone took a ‘stray’ to the local shelter. The shelter is suddenly no longer taking cats. No idea why. She said they would take kittens and sick ones and pregnant ones but refused this one.
So, Dr Susan took her. The new Mama looks just like Moose. On the night of the 25th, she had two babies. Both were breeches. Susan had to pull them out, dry them and get them to breathe. She said it was a close call for both. But once they could, they went right for nursing. One is solid grey and one is solid white.
During visitation on Sunday, we noticed that Mama takes good care of them but doesn’t stay in the box with them all of the time. Susan said she wants petties and company.
As for the shelter, we are clueless. We know the police chief hates cats so maybe it was his decision. Robyn told Dr Susan she was told that cats can ‘find their way home’. Really? There is SO much wrong with that sentence I don’t even know where to begin.”
Now, here are a few photos of the new family. Hopefully these direct links work straight-out with the Neil Wicks bookmarklets or failing that, just copy and paste into an open browser (and NOT into a search engine):
Semi annual Garage Sale was a bust…rats. we got rained out on Friday and very few people came on Saturday. Both the love seats got sold, for $25 each, and not a lot more. Kat and I trade off who gets the proceeds, it was her turn. $148.00. Last fall I got $1100 and change. We used to get 2 weekends in a row twice a year, but last year they changed to one weekend.
It’s interesting how these characters become so real to us. How many tears were shed over Guard Dog? Lily will return of course, but we are still so anxious!!!
You know you miss someone when you view their negative qualities in a positive light. Hope Lily comes back soon. (Evil eye, haughty tone, sass, and all.) On another note, saw six robins, a nuthatch, and a rabbit while out walking today.

Lily is a mean kitty, but she’s family. Our family.

I like Lily, she lost her home and made the best ( and only) decision there was. She is a fighter.

Please bring Lily back. You didn’t draw her very often, Graham, but I miss her.
