interesting footnote to history: Bendict Arnold and his wife sailed back to England before the end of the Revolutionary War, and was never tried for treason; however, because of his ongoing friendship with so many Indian Tribes, Daniel Boone was tried for treason in 1778…and found innocent…interesting story, look it up…they locked him up in the jailhouse in Boonesborough, which he himself had built, and he included an escape hatch no one knew about, so he left most nights…great and true story…ended up with rank of major
