That reminds me of one time a girlfriend of ours trimmed my husbands hair, as she also did her husbands. Unfortunately, she picked the wrong blade and it turned out much too short. At least we learned that my husband’s head shouldn’t have a buzzcut or even a crew cut.
At my sister’s urging, I helped to give my 6-year-old friend a haircut, as he had been given 25 cents to go to the barbershop for a trim. Back 70 years ago (or more) you could get a lot of candy for a quarter.
