Nicely done, Nick. Too bad that none of the MAGAts will recognize themselves.
Perhaps they would see it if the adorned MAGAt here was shown in a decaled pickup shooting an AR-15 at a Democratic Party travel bus while the local storm troopers ignored calls for police assistance.
Why is Trump loyalist ‘Moscow’ Marjorie Taylor Greene spouting Russian propaganda? 2 experts believe they know.
“Given that the Russians famously repress evangelical Christians, in Russia and in occupied Ukraine, this is extraordinary. She can’t have heard this by accident and she can’t be repeating it because she thinks it is true,” she posted to X, formerly Twitter.
“When Trump & his supporters started repeating Russian propaganda in 2015-16, I made a simple point: Many parties can arrive independently at the same truth, but not at the same lie. As with MAGA, Musk, et al now, repeating the same Ukraine falsehoods is an op, not a coincidence,” he posted.
The truth is Russian Orthodox priests have faced persecution from state and church officials for supporting peace, according to numerous reports since Russia invaded Ukraine.
“And she was never moved by that. She was always focused on her social media account,” Buck continued. “And Moscow Marjorie is focused now on this Ukraine issue and getting her talking points from the Kremlin and making sure that she is popular and she is getting a lot of coverage.”
(#) I know that “tinfoil” is a misnomer, but the term is grandfathered in — despite the fact that aluminum replaced the tin way back when dirt was new.
After three days and two nights dorking around at Knotts Berry Farm, We were pleased to note there were no RWNJ freaks wearing their various MAGA paraphernalia, unlike our last visit several years ago. Just a personal observation and anecdote.
I’ve always been hesitant to use the “fascism” label. First, as Mussolini said, it was unique to Italy (“fasces” is Latin for “bundle of sticks”). It was an Italian political party. Second, because it was a new idea it was subsequently used to define what people when people saw similar characteristics in other countries.
However, there are commonalities in definitions. When I taught the topic, I used Umberto Eco’s “14 Common Features of Fascism”. If you Google that term you might (or might not) be shocked at some of the similarities to our current circumstances.
Using his criteria, I am less hesitant to use the term to describe MAGA.
