Be thankful you’re the one they count on, and not one of the downsized ones…
The only reason I wasn’t downsized is because I was the only secretary and besides my pay was low. Then they started giving me the tasks of all the folks that they let go but I was still a secretary with low pay

Similar happenings at my job…and of course no extra pay for extra work.
