I think the bartender knew that and after hearing Yvonne critique every part of Irving’s being for the last thirty minutes she decided to treat him with a house sympathy vodka bouquet.
it took a bit of detective work, but apparently carolyn hax’s advice column paired with this one was about a bartender with a crush on the wife…
