This happened where I lived back in 98. Took a road trip with a buddy to Georgia. It was a beautiful weekend in February. Low seventies, lots of sun. We drove down and back with the windows down. We got back home late Saturday night. Sunday, things started to change. Monday afternoon, the rain started. Around 11 pm, it changed to snow. By Tuesday morning, there was 23 inches of heavy wet snow in the ground. Never seen anything like it before or since. It was a disaster.
I have had nightmares like this my whole life. Typically, it’s a day in June, and all the Spring pruning, planting, weeding, cleaning, feeding, mulching, decorating, and painting have been finished on schedule. Now is the time I should be able to relax outdoors and enjoy my yard and garden. Instead, I look outside one morning, and see a winter Wonderland.
