Arlo, you are wasting your time. You have to hold the remote where Luddie can see it, so that he will remember which buttons to press.

It’d probably be faster to set up a big button the cat can press that would activate an IR transmitter to turn the TV on to whatever the cat likes to watch. $20 in parts and a bit of programming, and the cat’s out of your hair for a bit.

Stoned man thinks his cat cares about how the TV functions. Chill out old man, it’s not 4:20 yet.

Growing up we had a small mix breed dog that seemed to like watching the Saturday morning cartoons with my brother and myself. He’d sit and stare at the screen until commercials came on then when they were over wander back and resume sitting and looking at the tv. I had to wonder if he was intrigued by the motion, or if it was simply because we were watching them and he wanted to be near us. He didn’t watch anything except the cartoons, so I have no idea really.

Give a cat a fish and he will eat for the day. Teach a cat to fish and he will pout because you did not bring him a fish.

We’ve had cats that loved to watch cartoons, any animation with bold colors, like the old Hannah Barbera. We also had one very smart boi that could turn on the TV with the remote; freaked the housesitter out the first couple of times she’d come over in the morning and the TV would be on.

Arnold Ziffel turns TVs on and tunes them, so I don’t see why a cat can’t.

I am one of those 2 remotes guys. On for the TV, the other for just turning on and off, plus finding all the goodie channels such as UTUBE, ECT. I have no cat, wish my dog could do it for me, my wife gives me one of those (I showed you yesterday looks!) Sometimes it takes me 5 to 10 minutes to hunt GUNS SMOKE and ANDY OF MAYBERRY!
