Parenthood was one of those things that never really felt like a burden to me. I mean, sure, getting calls from school that my kid was injure … again … was a pain, but overall, even adolescence was about as enjoyable as a parent could ask for. I mean, when a middle school kid asks you to go on a bike ride and then asks for advice on girls, what’s not to love?
