Keep in mind what happened to Goran Višnjić in the season 2 opener of Extant.

After what happened in “2OO1”, I am a little leery of putting an AI in charge of a vehicle, or the garage door

Conservatives still like those Fred Flintsone cars. Reliable, cheap foot power!

It is not impossible for a gasoline car to have autopilot. An electric car’s build and technology lends itself to autopilot easier than a gasoline car, so apparently that is why autopilot is chiefly found on electric cars.

IMO (for what that is worth), autopilot is not a high priority accessory. I don’t mind car companies trying to develop it – although I think they’re selling their systems to the public prematurely. But electric cars have higher-priority issues where I’d prefer those car companies invest more time and resources, instead of autopilot.

The 1960’s hair dryer seems a strange choice.
