While in the Army, I knew a Warrant Officer (WO4) who quite seriously told me that as he was getting ready to come to work in the mornings, the he’d curse himself out and yell at himself to get in the “right” mood for work. He had, needless to say a few issues after his helicopter was shot down in Vietnam and he sustained 2 wounds. If he liked you, then all was good, if he didn’t, he was quite the jerk who didn’t spare anyone.

Poite laughing has been around forever. Sone politicians think that they are Henny Youngman, while most politicians are actually jokes themselves. If the boss does dock you in some way, that’s wrong but is usually harmless.Grin and bear it …..
