My mom used to gross me out like that. I still don’t like dogs to lick me and I never licked my kids.

Yeah. That is gross

I’ve always loved doggy licks. They’re sincere, unlike the “Judas kisses” of so many humans!

So predictable

From a child’s point of view, puppy cooties on your face are purely adorable.

Cooties from mommies going through mid-life crisis is just plain BLEAH!!

Ugghhh! The dogs are adorable, Elly not so much. I don’t remember my mother ever doing this but she did clean my glasses by putting the lenses in her mouth and wiping them clean with a handkerchief. I hated that! I’ll clean my own glasses, TYVM!

That’s ‘kids for you’ ! ! ! ! !

Heh heh — the dreaded Spit Bath!

Mom spit can remove tattoos……..

And They Call It Puppy Love – comes to mind.

Is it better if Mom says LICK THIS TISSUE and rubs the dirt off your own face?

I got the spitshine whenever guests would enter the house, or before going into Church, or any time/place anybody other than Mum and I were visible. Never really thought about it then, too busy planning escape/adventures, and the thought has never entered my mind to do that to anybody else (Disclaimer: I don’t have kids).

I don’t mind it when dogs and cats lick me.

I hated it when mom did that. I don’t like being licked by dogs either.

LOL!!!

I was about 4 when I remember my mom “spit cleaning” for the first time. I went with it, then sometime within that same day I leaned over and licked her face. When she got upset I said “What? I saw dirt and was cleaning you too!!” Last time she did that.

The human mouth does have far more bacteria than the average canine. Besides, Elly’s mouth is much more vitriolic than the average woman!

MomSpit, the most powerful solvent on earth!

Walked by a car today advertising a service where they bring puppies to wellness event and corporate parties for people to play with. Not sure if they charged for facials.
