I still remember the mnemonic from my Organic Chemistry class over 30 years ago (Thanks Mr Sherman), “CHOPKINS CaFe plus Salt”. Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen Phosphorus, Potassium, Iodine, Nitrogen, Sulfur, Calcium, Iron, Sodium and Chlorine.
Can’t believe this strip has been around for thirteen years and still looks exactly the same. Prickly City, on the other hand, looks NOTHING like it did when it started ten years ago.

Sugar is composed entirely of carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen. Spice likewise, plus nitrogen and those other trace elements.
