Poor Brutus, constantly bullied by a stingy chief.

Well Boss, there’s the reason no one will be sad at your funeral. The word sad is optional. The statement works with or without it.

So today’s lesson is, it is never a ‘good’ idea to always negatively criticize your boss – if you want to keep your job!

He much prefers motivation by intimidation.

Stock options must be really rolling!

I know I’d go from bags to riches. If you would only turn your head.

Judging from the money bags, I’d say bossman is comfortable just the way he is. Though, Brutus has a point. With positive feedback, the company might double its profits. But, I doubt being positive is in bossie’s nature.

I see Veeblefester subscribes to the “You can accomplish more with a kind word and a baseball bat than you can a kind word alone” theory of employee motivation. Poor Brutus…

So much for speaking truth to power!I believe this is what is referred to in the Bible as casting pearls before swine.

Definitely not going to win “Boss of the Year” award but it’s his company and he can run it any way he wants, even if it’s into the ground. Brutus on the other hand made a very very concise and eloquent argument on improving employer/employee relationships. Brutus showed himself to be the MUCH better man…..

He does motivate them with his word, but they are usually in the form of a threat.

Is it just me noticing or has Brutus started to be a bit more assertive lately? Not successfully, but he’s trying.

I see the Chief’s had a substantial financial windfall since the strip awhile back where he only had one bag of money.
