Same here. Medium fries are enough for me now, although I do miss the large drinks.

Can we get them to super size the quality? I like my ketchup on the burger, not the wrapper. Not to be fussy but am I the only one they make pull to the side to wait for the fries to cool off?

Might as well go into a McDonald’s and order a happy meal. I went into a McDonald’s and ordered two happy meals once but of course just requested one soda cup since it would’ve been silly and pointless to ask for and pay for two.

It always amazes me when I see folks order a diet drink with something quite fattening like French fries. Or, worse yet, order a diet cola with a buffet meal.

Have you looked in the mirror? That’s not the only thing that got supersized.

The “Supersized” refers to the customer as much as the portions.

There is absolutely nothing there that is healthy, no matter what size or calorie count. And when they get the bad news that they have cancer or diabetes or some other common modern disease, it’s “why me!?”

The last fast food burgers my wife and I consumed when we were out of town weren’t good at all and I think the chain has gotten too expensive.

The regular sizes are healthier for you anyway; at least, as much as fast food can be healthy.

I think the original prices for McDonalds were something like 15 cents for a hamburger and 10 cents for fries. We can’t expect years to go by without price increases. Income is not what it was back then.

I haven’t been able to bring myself to order a large, supreme pizza because the price of one has gone up so much. So, we’ll make do with DiGiorno and Red Baron French Bread pizzas until the pizza places have special deals.

Those of us of a certain age can recall buying a burger, fries and a shake for 45 cents and we get sticker shock each time we see the menu prices these days.

Come on now Brutus do you really expect us to believe that in the past you got supersized meals just because they were bargains.

Sad but true. However, a good compromise might be to still eat your supersized bargain meals but just not as often. Eating out should be a treat. A bare bones hamburger, fries and soft drink from one of those major chains is many things but is definitely not a treat….
